01Who we are

Most of what we haul comes over the bridge.

Beach lots are sand to start with. Good topsoil, gravel, rock and mulch mostly come from yards and vendors on the mainland, and somebody has to bring them across the Wright Memorial Bridge and down NC 12. That’s the job.

Farr Trucking is based in Kitty Hawk. We haul for landscapers, builders and homeowners from Corolla to Ocracoke, and on the mainland side through Currituck County to Elizabeth City. Some of our customers have ordered from us since 2012.

When a job calls for something specific, we go find it. One landscaper put it this way: we’ve “helped us source from different venders in our region.”

In 2022 the National Park Service hired Farr Trucking, Inc. to deliver sand, clay and clam shell for vehicle ramp repairs along NC 12.
